Not everything in your special cemetery is scarey. Some things are yummy! Here is a favorite
of mine for you and your family to enjoy!
Harvest Pumpkin Bars
makes 24 bars
2 cups flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 4 eggs 1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin 1 2/3 cups sugar |
1 cup oil 1 cup walnuts, chopped 3 ounces cream cheese 1/4 cup margarine 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups powdered sugar |
Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Set aside. In a medium bowl, beat eggs, pumpkin, sugar and oil together. Add to first mixture. Stir in chopped walnuts. Spread mixture into greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool before frosting.
To make frosting: Beat softened cream cheese, margarine and vanilla in a small bowl. Slowly add sifted powdered sugar. Frost cooled pumpkin bars and cut into squares.
